Official: UralChem, Uralkali ready not to raise prices in 2022

MOSCOW, Dec 1 (PRIME) -- Russian fertilizer producers UralChem and Urlakali are ready not to increase prices in 2022, co-owner of UralChem Dmitry Mazepin said on Wednesday.  

"The government and fertilizer producers have held several important meetings, a decision to freeze prices was made," Mazepin said.

He added that the agreement with the government will remain in force until June but there was implicit understanding that the companies should retain prices for the entire year.

"We, as companies, I speak on behalf of mine, are ready to freeze the prices until the end of 2022," Mazepin said.

The prices will be set at the level of June–August 2021.
